This hierarchy isn’t just a coaching philosophy—it’s a commitment to helping you move better, stay safe, and get stronger for life.
1. Technique First
Before we worry about how fast you’re going or how much weight you’re lifting, we want to see the movement done correctly. That means positioning, posture, and mechanics come first—no matter what level you’re starting at.
Good technique builds the foundation. Without it, you’re just adding weight to a faulty system. That’s a fast track to plateaus—or worse, injury. Our coaches are here to slow things down when needed, break movements down into manageable steps, and help you learn how to move well.
2. Consistency Second
Once you’ve demonstrated that you can move with proper technique, the next step is proving you can do it consistently.
Can you repeat that quality movement across multiple reps, multiple sets, or even multiple training days? Can you do it under a little bit of fatigue? We don’t expect perfection, but we do expect repeatable, safe, and effective movement before we raise the stakes.
Consistency is what turns learning into habit, and habit into progress.
3. Intensity Last
Only after technique and consistency are in place do we layer in intensity—whether that means moving faster, lifting heavier, or shortening rest periods.
Intensity is what drives results in CrossFit. It’s what makes the workouts so effective. But applied too early, it can be more harmful than helpful.
Once you’ve earned the right to go harder, we’ll encourage you to push. And yes—there will be sweat, effort, and progress. But always in a way that honors the hard work you’ve done to build a strong foundation first.
